“Before the Taliban takeover, I was a teacher for many years and under a humanitarian NGO, I was teaching uneducated women of the community in a community-based school. Now, I just sit at home and do nothing.
As I have been jobless for the past year, my family and I face economic problems. We have 12 family members and my father-in-law is supporting the whole family.
I have tried many times and shared my CV with many schools to get a job and support my family, but I have been unsuccessful.
A few days ago, I started an English language course, but due to security issues I could not continue.
I believe that INGOs and governments should pave the roads for education and work in Afghanistan. I ask the international community to make high-level efforts and continue to work for the rights of Afghan women.”
“If they find out that I was a journalist and worked for media, they will torture me”
